today we left on a semi-spontaneous trip to the Adirondacks...Saranac Lake to be specific. It was a loooong 8 hour drive, but thankfully I slept most of the way. Our family friends let us stay at their house right on the lake. Everything about it was beautiful (except for the 20 minute drive up the one lane, tree lined, snow covered, zig zag road you have to go on just to get to the house). Once my stomach returned to normal after each car ride I was able to enjoy it all :)
The picture is the view of the lake from their house. I can't imagine how beautiful it is in the summertime!
